Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos minerals are composed of delicate fibers that are resistant to heat, fire and many chemicals. Because of these properties, asbestos was once commonly used in construction and is still found in many of today’s buildings. Unfortunately, we now know that asbestos exposure can cause mesothelioma and other cancers through airborne exposure.

The affected area is placed under containment so that the abatement process can take place under negative air. This air is forced through a HEPA filter system during the abatement process.

Our asbestos abatement team dons protective suits and respirators to dispose of all materials that contain asbestos: pipe insulation, floor tile & mastic, panel boards, sprayed-on fire retardant, joint compound or seam sealant.

Pece of Mind Environmental, Inc. uses 3rd party air monitoring to ensure the safety of our employees and the general public. All asbestos abatement work is completed in strict accordance with local, state and federal laws.
